Our district, Gündoğdu-Turgut Neighborhood, covered a wide area starting from Cumhuriyet Square and including the back parts of Hürriyet Neighborhood. That constant situation caused some problems among the residents of the neighborhood. For this reason, with the council decision dated 04.02.2020 and numbered 73; It was decided to designate the area of ​​Gündoğdu-Turgut neighborhood, known as Çiftlikönü for years, as Çiftlikönü District, and to name the part of this neighborhood starting from the Hürriyet neighborhood and ending with the ring road as Atatürk District. The total population of the neighborhood in 2019 was 20,049.
